Crystal Vut, who has been training in DEF Elite Fitness since last year, won the 2nd runner-up in Women half-marathon in Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon. She later on finished Tokyo Marathon in early March with a new Personal Best (PB) 2:46:38!
After reaching her personal best time (1:21:33) for half-marathon in Taipei in Jan, Crystal progressed to rank 3rd in both Women half-marathon overall and senior division in Hong Kong. She messaged Ross after the race, “this route is more difficult than Taipei one, and it is humid today… But I tried my best already, no regret. Thanks for your S&C! I can feel I am stronger than before.”
Two week later on 3 March, Crystal raced for full marathon in Tokyo Marathon, one of the World Marathon Majors series. The temperature was as low as 5.7 degrees with rain throughout the event. However, Crystal managed to overcome the weather and finish with a new PB in 2 hours 46 minutes 38 seconds.
Aiming for the IAAF World Championship and a new Hong Kong Record, Crystal came to DEF Elite Fitness for strength & conditioning training with Head Coach Ross. Since then, her performance has been improving steadily, with two new PB in two-month time (half marathon PB in Taipei & full marathon PB in Tokyo). Let's keep going together and make the dream comes true!
